1. Click on the email in your inbox from Garage Team that is titled: [Action required] Set up your Garage Stripe account
ⓘ Make sure to check if the email landed in your spam folder. You can also use the search bar to look up the email title. If you still can't see the email, no worries! In step 2, follow the steps on how to access the sales dashboard directly from your Garage account.
2. Click on the link provided in the email to go to your Sales dashboard on Garage.
ⓘ You can also directly access the sales dashboard from your Garage account: click the profile 👤 icon on the top right corner, click the Dashboard option, select the Sales 💵 option listed on the left-side navigation bar.
3. In the Sales screen, you will see 2 options listed below to set up a Stripe seller account:
If you are the bank account owner, click the Set up seller account button.
If you are not the bank account owner, click the Invite bank account owner button.
3a. If you clicked the Invite bank account owner button, add their name, email, and phone number in the pop-up to send the invite. You can stop here and let the bank account owner complete the setup.
4. Click on the Business type dropdown to select the option that applies to the bank account owner. Then, click the Continue button.
5. Next, add your email address and phone number. Then, click the Submit button.
6. You'll be asked to verify you phone number. Add the verification code sent to your mobile phone.
7. Add all required business details. Click the Continue button.
ⓘ For the Industry drop-down, fire departments, towns, and other municipal entities should select: Professional Services > Government Services
8. Add your personal details. Then, click the Continue button.
ⓘ Note: Personal information is required to complete the mandatory identity verification, which is required by federal regulations to promote transparency and prevent financial crime.
You can either enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number or upload a photo or copy of a government-issued ID.
If the form asks for your full SSN, click the link below that says “Provide last 4 digits of Social Security number instead.”
9. Next, you'll need to add your bank details. There are 3 ways that you can add your bank details:
By default, the Bank account tab is selected. Here, you can select your bank from the list below. Then, you will be prompted to securely sign in to your online bank account to automatically add your bank details.
If you don't want to sign in to your online bank account, you can click the ‘Enter bank details manually instead’ link to type the routing and account number.
Lastly, you can select the Debit card tab.
10. Almost done! Make sure all your information is correct before clicking the Agree and submit button.
You're all set to receive payout as a seller!
ⓘ After successfully completing your account setup, you'll see the Garage ✅ + Stripe ✅ icons on your Sales dashboard.
