Understanding the addresses on your invoice

Why your payment details may show San Francisco addresses—even if Garage or the seller is located elsewhere.

Why You Might See a Different Address

When you pay for a truck, equipment, or service through Garage, your payment is processed securely through Stripe, our trusted payment partner. Stripe is a leading global payment processor used by millions of businesses—including Amazon, Google, and Shopify—to move money safely between buyers and sellers.

You may notice that the bank or account holder addresses on your payment page or invoice list locations in San Francisco, CA. This is because our payment processor's banking partners are registered in California, even though Garage Technologies Inc. is headquartered in New York.

What This Means for You

  • Your payment is secure. All payments made through Garage are processed and encrypted by Stripe. Garage and sellers never have direct access to your bank or card details.

  • The addresses are correct. Even if the business (Garage or the seller) is based elsewhere, these Stripe-issued addresses are legitimate and tied to the account holder’s verified Stripe account.

  • This setup helps prevent fraud. Stripe verifies every business before enabling payouts, ensuring that all funds are sent only to the rightful, verified account holder.

If Your Bank Has Questions

If your bank flags the address or asks for confirmation:

You can confidently confirm that the payment is legitimate and that Stripe is the payment processor for Garage Technologies Inc.

Stripe processes billions of dollars in payments for companies worldwide. The routing information and addresses they provide are pre-verified and can’t be altered.

If additional verification is needed, you may share this reference:

“Garage Technologies Inc. uses Stripe as its authorized payment processor. Stripe’s banking operations are based in San Francisco, CA, and the addresses shown are Stripe’s registered bank and account holder locations.”

Bottom line: As long as the account number, routing number, and beneficiary name match what’s listed on the invoice, the payment will reach the correct account — even if the address differs from the company’s physical location.

ⓘ Wires are routed using the bank’s address, along with the account and routing numbers — not the account holder’s address.
