Getting paid as a seller

Congrats on your sale! Here's when your payout is released and what to expect along the way.

Your payout is released once the item is in the buyer's hands. Once your seller payout account is set up, there's nothing more you need to do to receive payment.

Set up your seller payout account

We recommend setting it up as soon as your listing goes live. That way, your payout is ready to go when the sale wraps up. See Setting up your seller payout account.

When your payout is released

  • Equipment: within 3 business days after delivery.

  • Apparatus: within 1 business day after the buyer has the vehicle and title.

Your funds are protected while you wait

Once the buyer pays, we wait for the funds to clear before confirming payment and giving the green light for pickup. We hold the funds securely until the item is in the buyer’s hands, then release them from your seller payout account to your bank.

Important: Keep payments on Garage. When you pay and get paid through Garage, we make sure each side gets what was agreed. If a buyer asks to pay you directly, let us know, and we’ll help keep things on track.

Fees taken from your sale

For Buy Now sales, the success fee, typically 10% of the sale price, is deducted from your payout automatically. Your invoice shows the exact fee. For auctions, the buyer pays a 10% buyer's premium instead, and you pay no fee.
