Evaluating a listing

What to check on a listing before you make an offer.

Found something that might be a fit? A few quick checks will help you buy with confidence.

Check the listing details

  • The basics: price, location, mileage and key specs are at the top of every listing.

  • Description and specifications: scroll down for the full description, plus details like pump size, tank size and VIN.

  • Photos: click Show all photos to see every angle.

Talk to the seller

Click Message seller to ask anything before you buy. A few questions worth asking:

  • Is everything shown in the photos included?

  • Do the pump, A/C and other key systems work?

  • Do you have maintenance records or pump test results?

  • Is the title in your name?

See Talking with a seller before you buy.

Take a closer look

  • Virtual inspection: click Schedule video call for a virtual inspection with the seller and a Garage team member, who can answer questions about freight and payment

  • In-person inspection: want an independent inspector to check the vehicle? Contact us, and we'll share the cost and arrange it for you.

Plan ahead

Not sure what delivery or financing will cost? Just click Calculate freight or Calculate financing on any listing to get an estimate.

Important: Vehicles are sold as is, so it's worth asking questions and taking a closer look before you make an offer.
