🔧 Equipment Transaction Journey

1. Seller lists the item

  • ✅ Seller is responsible for providing accurate and complete information (condition, specs, photos).

  • 🚫 Misrepresentation may result in buyer disputes or returns.

2. Buyer purchases the item (Buy Now flow)

  • ✅ Buyer is responsible for reviewing the listing and understanding the item before committing.

  • 🚫 All sales are final unless issues are reported within 3 business days of delivery.

3. Buyer selects delivery method & pays

  • ✅ Buyer pays for item + shipping.

  • 🚫 Garage cannot ship until payment is received.

4. Garage sends prepaid shipping label

  • ✅ Garage auto-generates and emails label to seller once payment is confirmed.

  • ✅ Garage includes up to $100 in shipping protection on prepaid labels.

5. Seller packages & ships the item

  • ✅ Seller must securely package the equipment and drop off at the designated carrier (unless arranged otherwise).

  • 🚫 Sellers are responsible for damage due to poor packaging.

6. Item is delivered

  • ✅ Buyer has 3 business days to report any issues or request a return.

  • ✅ Garage will approve returns only if: item is not as described, was damaged in transit, is incorrect/missing, or seller failed to ship

7. Journey complete!

  • ✅ Garage handles refunds where applicable under return policy.

  • ✅ Buyer confirms receipt or item is auto-confirmed after 3 business days.

🚒 Apparatus Transaction Journey

1. Seller lists the apparatus

  • ✅ Seller must provide transparent and accurate details about the apparatus.

2. Buyer makes an offer

  • ✅ Buyer is responsible for due diligence before submitting an offer.

3. Seller accepts the offer

  • ✅ Garage steps in to confirm sale with both parties.

3a. Buyer & seller coordinate key details

  • ✅ Confirm delivery method: whether the buyer will use Garage freight, their own freight service, or pick up directly.

  • ✅ Agree on how the title transfer will occur (e.g., sent with the truck or mailed separately).

  • 🚨 These details should be agreed on before Garage issues an invoice.

4. Garage issues invoice

  • ✅ Buyer receives invoice from Garage for the apparatus.

5. Buyer pays invoice

  • ✅ Buyer must pay by due date.

  • 🚫 No shipping or coordination until payment is received.

6. Buyer selects delivery method
Options:

  • Self-pickup:

    • Buyer + seller coordinate pick-up directly

  • Own freight service:

    • Buyer + their freight service coordinate with seller

  • Garage freight:

    • ✅ Buyer pays separate freight invoice

    • ✅ Garage coordinates freight pick-up

    • ✅ Seller is responsible for loading (usually just driving the vehicle onto the flatbed)

    • ✅ Carrier is responsible for transport

    • ✅ Buyer is responsible for unloading

  • 🚨 If any party cannot handle their part (e.g., seller can’t load), they must notify Garage ASAP to explore solutions.

7. Apparatus is delivered

  • ✅ Buyer is responsible for inspecting the item and reporting issues upon delivery.

  • ✅ Once delivered with no issues, the transaction is complete!

8. Vehicle title is transferred

  • ✅ Seller is responsible for accurately completing the title transfer and sending it to the buyer.
