You’ve got three options when it comes to pickup or delivery:
Pick it up yourself — coordinate with the seller directly
Hire your own freight company
Use Garage’s freight service — we’ll manage the pickup and drop-off for you
There’s a button on the listing page that gives you an instant freight quote if you want to use our service.
🤝 Offer Accepted? Here’s What Happens
Once the seller accepts your offer, we’ll take care of the following:
A Garage team member confirms final price with both sides
We issue the invoice and collect payment from you
Once funds clear, we release payment to the seller and give the green light for pickup
We’ll keep you updated every step of the way!
If you haven’t done so already, please coordinate the title transfer directly with the seller. Depending on the state, the title may require a signature from the buyer, the seller, or both. Be sure to confirm whether the seller plans to send the title with the vehicle or separately by mail.
💳 Payment & Fees
After your offer is accepted, Garage will issue an invoice on behalf of the seller for the vehicle purchase, along with any optional value-added services you choose (such as freight or warranty). All payments are processed securely through Garage.
ℹ️ Note for auction listings: If the apparatus was originally listed as an auction, the transaction still follows auction terms even if the auction has ended or the reserve wasn’t met. This means the buyer’s premium still applies. Auction fee rules remain in effect for any sale resulting from an auction listing or its bidders.
📃 Coordinate the Title Transfer
It’s up to you and the seller to coordinate title transfer. Confirm if the title will be sent with the vehicle or separately by mail, and check if your state requires signatures from one or both parties.
➕ Financing & Warranty (Optional)
Need to spread out the cost? Want to protect your purchase?
On the listing page, you can:
Get a financing quote (we partner with lenders who work with departments and municipalities)
Get a warranty quote (protects core systems like the engine, transmission, brakes, etc.)
Garage offers these services to make sure you're covered, especially for bigger-ticket rigs.
