🔄 How Every Purchase Works on Garage
The payment process on Garage always follows the same order:
💡 Heads up: For invoice purchases, you'll hear from our operations team at [email protected] — this is the email we use to manage and coordinate all active purchases.
🔒 Your Funds Are Protected
Your payment is held securely in escrow and is not released to the seller until you have received your item — so you can always buy with confidence!
🚚 Pickup & Delivery
Delivery varies depending on your item's size. Select the drop-down section that applies to you:

Shipping & Delivery
Once you complete checkout, the seller receives a shipping label to send your item. Keep in mind that the seller is the owner of the item — not Garage.
⚠️ If your order is time-sensitive, we recommend reaching out to the seller directly through Garage chat. Garage can also follow up on your behalf, but we don't have the item and can't control when it's dropped off for shipping.

Pickup & Delivery
Once payment has been submitted and cleared, here's what to expect based on your preferred delivery method:
Picking up in person?
Garage will connect you directly with the seller to coordinate timing and location once payment has been submitted and cleared.
Need LTL shipping?
Garage will send you a shipping invoice. Once both your listing and shipping invoices are fully paid, we'll give the carrier the green light to coordinate pickup with the seller.
Unloading is the buyer's responsibility. Garage always includes lift gate service — but if your item won't fit on a lift gate and you'll need a forklift, please let us know right away so we can try to make the necessary arrangements. Please note that drivers are not responsible for unloading.
⚠️ If your shipment is time-sensitive, let Garage know as soon as possible! LTL is a cost-effective option, but since drivers carry multiple loads, eta for delivery can have a longer window.

Once all payments have been submitted and cleared, Garage will give the green light to coordinate pickup. Here's what to expect depending on your pickup method:
In-person pickup
Garage will connect you directly with the seller to coordinate pickup timing and location.
💡 Please notify Garage of your expected pickup date and confirm once you've picked up the item. The seller's payout is not processed until you have received your purchase.
Freight
