The selling process for equipment:
Your Dedicated Purchase Manager
Every sale on Garage is assigned a dedicated Purchase Manager from our Operations team. They oversee your sale from offer accepted to payout received — coordinating behind the scenes so you don't have to.
You may not hear from them right away, and that's completely normal. Your Purchase Manager will reach out when there's something to flag, a next step to coordinate, or if your seller escrow account needs to be set up. Otherwise, trust that things are moving along and your sale is in good hands.
Seller Escrow Account
Make sure your escrow account is fully set up so you can receive payout when the time comes.
If your account is already set up — you're all good, no action needed!
If it isn't set up yet, Garage will reach out to guide you through it.
Pickup & Delivery
The payment process is the same for all sales, but delivery varies depending on your item's size. Select the drop-down section that applies to you.

Shipping
Once the buyer completes checkout, you'll receive a shipping label to your email. Package your item securely and drop it off at your nearest shipping location at your earliest convenience.

In-person Pickup
For in-person pickup, Garage will connect you directly with the buyer to coordinate timing and location.

Packing, Loading & Pickup
Garage will connect with the buyer to confirm their preferred pickup method and help coordinate logistics. Make sure your item is properly secured to a pallet or crate before pickup.
LTL Shipping
If LTL shipping is being arranged through Garage, the carrier will reach out to coordinate pickup with you once payment has cleared. Loading onto the freight truck is your responsibility.
ⓘ If you'll need a forklift or any special equipment to load, please let Garage know in advance so we can make sure the carrier is prepared. Please note that carriers handle transportation only and will not assist with loading.

Getting Paid
Once your item is delivered, our team will reach out to the buyer to confirm receipt. Payout is processed as soon as confirmation is received — typically within the same day of delivery, and no later than 3 business days after. Funds then take 1 business day to land in your connected bank account.
