🔄 How Every Sale Works on Garage
Regardless of how your item was sold, the payment process always follows the same order:
💡 Heads up: For invoice sales, you'll hear from our operations team at [email protected] — this is the email we use to manage and coordinate all active purchases.
🔒 Seller Escrow Account
Make sure your escrow account is fully set up so you can receive payout when the time comes.
If your account is already set up — you're all good, no action needed!
If it isn't set up yet, Garage will reach out to guide you through it.
🚚 Pickup & Delivery
The payment process is the same for all sales, but delivery varies depending on your item's size. Select the drop-down section that applies to you:

📏 Shipping
Once the buyer completes checkout, you'll receive a shipping label to your email. Package your item securely and drop it off at your nearest shipping location at your earliest convenience.
⚠️ If the buyer's order is time-sensitive, they may reach out via Garage chat — please respond promptly!
💸 Getting Paid
Your payout is processed once the shipment has been delivered to the buyer. Funds typically reach your connected bank account within 2 business days after that.

📏 Packing, Loading & Pickup
Garage will connect with the buyer to confirm their preferred pickup method and help coordinate logistics. Make sure your item is properly secured to a pallet or crate before pickup.
If LTL shipping is being arranged through Garage, the carrier will reach out to coordinate pickup with you once payment has cleared. Loading onto the freight truck is your responsibility.
💡 If you'll need a forklift or any special equipment to load, please let Garage know in advance so we can make sure the carrier is prepared. Please note that carriers handle transportation only and will not assist with loading.
For in-person pickup, Garage will connect you directly with the buyer to coordinate timing and location.

Your payout is released once the buyer has received their item, following the same escrow process outlined above.

✅ Confirming the Sale
A Garage point of contact will reach out to confirm the final sale price and send an invoice to the buyer promptly.
A Bill of Sale will also be sent at this stage for your records.
Please make sure you have the title ready and that it's in your name — you'll need to coordinate the title transfer directly with the buyer. Our team will help facilitate this!
🚚 Pickup & Delivery Coordination
Garage will connect with the buyer to confirm their preferred pickup method and help coordinate logistics. If the buyer needs freight, Garage can arrange that too — freight costs are covered by the buyer, not the seller.
Your responsibility at this stage is simply to coordinate pickup timing and location and ensure the item is released as agreed.
